Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 11 Ukrainian regions are not ready for the easing of the quarantine-related restrictions, as the incidence of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases there exceeds the limit.

"Today, the situation is the most challenging in the country's western regions, namely, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Rivne regions, and others. In total, there are 11 regions in Ukraine where the figures are now exceeding the norm," he said at a briefing on July 3.
"Those regions' disease control services have initiated the tightening of the restrictive measures," he added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 46,763 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of the morning of July 3. They include 1,212 deaths and 20,558 recoveries. Some 876 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
