The petition calling for the resignation of NABU Director Artem Sytnyk has received the required number of votes – more than 27,000 (25,000 signatures are required for the petition to be considered by President). However, for the reasons unknown, the President's Office failed to count almost half of the signatures and refused to submit the petition to the President.

The President's Office has sent to the archives a petition for the resignation of NABU Director Artem Sytnyk, which has collected the required number of signatures to be considered by President of Ukraine. Earlier, media reports said the President's Office deliberately ignored half of the signatures and even manually reduced the number of votes already counted. This is a unique case – this has never happened with other petitions on the President's website.

This is a petition on the President's website No.22 / 103760-er titled "Dismiss Sytnyk, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine." As the period for signature collection expired, 27,245 votes had been registered of those who had signed the petition. This is enough for the President of Ukraine to consider the petition in accordance with the existing legislation (a petition is considered by President if it has received 25,000 signatures). However, only 15,009 votes were counted, that's, only about half.
