Polish and Ukrainian leaders say they are working closely together to prepare for the 2012 European Championship, AP reports.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Ukrainian counterpart Yulia Tymoshenko met Monday amid concerns that preparations are lagging and the countries will not be ready to host the event.
But Tymoshenko said they would make it by working together closely. She said the slogan of the tournament should be "two countries, one team."
Tusk said "both countries have a lot of work to do."
They spoke after the inaugural meeting of a Polish-Ukrainian committee that is working to coordinate preparation.
