Rumors that Poland would host the 2012 EURO championship without Ukraine has been dismissed by UEFA, EuFootball reports.
The Polish Daily Dziennik newspaper had quoted UEFA president Michel Platini as saying there was a chance Poland could stage the tournament without Ukrainian involvement, if Ukraine fails to meet construction deadlines on Kyiv Stadium.
UEFA spokesman, William Gaillard, said the report was incorrect. "We categorically deny this report," Gaillard said. "He never gave an interview to this newspaper."
