Transfer prices on leading players of Shakhtar Donetsk have almost risen to skies. It happened after the football club of Ukrainian tycoon Rinat Akhmetov won the UEFA Cup Final.
The total price of Shakhtar players exceeded 112 million euro. According to the information of reputed German transfer portal trasnfermarkt.de, the victory of the Donetsk club has significantly increased the market prices of Shakhtar players. An average market price of a Shakhtar player has soared to 3.9 million euro. This showing was by 0.7 million less on the results of the year 2008. The most expensive player of Shakhtar is Croatian Dario Srna. His transfer price exceeds 13 million euro, while Rinat Akhmetov bought him for 1.2 million in 2003. Srna is the most expensive and most successful player of all Ukrainian football teams.
