80th anniversary Dynamo Kyiv soccer club marked on Thursday

President Victor Yushchenko on Thursday attended a celebration to mark the 80-year anniversary of the Dynamo Kyiv soccer club, according to the President`s press-office.

“I am proud there is such a club among Ukraine’s many worthy teams,” he said, thanking the club for its contribution to the development of Ukrainian sports and remembering its achievements and renowned players.

“This is the team of success and great victories. I am convinced Dynamo has been and will be one of Europe’s and the world’s most famous soccer clubs. You are known and respected worldwide,” he said. “I thank you, Dynamo, for what you do for Ukrainian soccer, for Ukraine.”
