Volunteer and blogger Yuriy Kasianov has said Russian President Vladimir Putin may mount a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and go for a "military walk" to Kyiv after a weak reaction of the international community to Russian aggression in Georgia, the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of part of Donbas.

"And he will do that as soon as he is confident that we will not resist," Kasianov said during an online Q&A session with the Ukrainian news outlet Glavred's readers.

At the same time, he says he is sure NATO is not going to fight with Russia and will not fight with it even if it occupies the whole territory of Ukraine.

"Of course, the presence of NATO ships in the Black Sea causes and will cause a hysterical reaction of Russia, because these are elements of political propaganda. But NATO will not help us both in the Black Sea and on the land territory of Ukraine. We will defend our freedom and independence ourselves," Kasianov said.
