Militants continue to attack outskirts of Mariupol
Russian-backed militants in the east of Ukraine are continuing their offensive on the outskirts of Mariupol, using rockets and artillery, the Azov Battalion, which is defending the city, said on Monday.
"The militants are mainly using artillery, including rockets. Both sides are conducting reconnaissance. The use of firearms is evidence of the activities of sabotage and reconnaissance groups," the battalion reported.
It said one reconnaissance drone had been spotted on the eastern outskirts of Mariupol.
At the same time, according to the report by the battalion, an attack was launched by Russian-backed militants on the positions of Ukrainian armed forces near the village of Zoria.
"On all front lines casualties were avoided. Enemy losses are being determined," the Azov Battalion said in its report.
