Militants not allowing OSCE observers, foreign journalists into Debaltseve
OSCE observers and foreign journalists are not being allowed into Debaltseve to prevent them from witnessing evidence of assaults and attacks on the positions of Ukrainian military, ATO Headquarters spokesperson Anatoliy Stelmach claimed at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"Unfortunately, the members of the OSCE observation mission could not enter in Debaltseve" he said.
"The militants have stated that they do not control certain gangs in the area, so they allegedly did not want to expose OSCE observers to danger," Stelmach added.
However, as noted by the ATO Headquarters spokesperson, "our information suggests that they were ordered to prevent OSCE observers and foreign journalists from entering Debaltseve so that they could not establish the facts of attacks and assaults on Ukrainian positions."
