No shelling in Donbas conflict zone overnight
For the first time over the previous months, September 10 was a completely calm day in the Donbas conflict zone, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) wrote on Facebook on Friday.
"The enemy did not violate the ceasefire and did not use weapons [against the Ukrainian forces]. There were no surprises today. From midnight to 06:00 Kyiv time on September 11, it was quiet along the demarcation line," the report says.
The headquarters reported that a complete ceasefire provides great opportunities for the Ukrainians to restore destroyed infrastructure, re-establish normal transport system and logistics links, and start demining the conflict area.
"Civilians in Donbas, as well as the ATO forces, hope that the militants will continue to implement the Minsk agreements while the solution of disputes and disagreements will move into a phase of talks," the press center said.
