Detainee Ageyev captured in Donbas confirms being Russia’s "contracted serviceman"
Viktor Ageyev, a Russian national earlier captured by Ukrainian forces in Luhansk region, has confirmed in his interview with TSN news service that he was deployed to eastern Ukraine after signing a contract for service in the Armed Forces of Russia.
"I am a military serviceman. Unit 65246 (located in Novocherkassk, the communications regiment and the training center of the Russian Aerospace Forces)," Ageyev told TSN.
He also confirmed that in March 2017 he came to Russia’s Rostov region bordering with Ukraine and signed a contract for service in the Armed Forces of Russia. According to him, only four days into being stationed at the base, he signed a contract and was almost immediately deployed to Donbas.
