As UNIAN reported earlier, Trump had canceled the meeting with Kim Jong Un in Singapore, scheduled for June 12.

In a letter to Kim released by the White House, Trump said he decided to cancel the meeting "based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement," according to USA Today.

The parties were supposed to be debating the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
