Ruble drop impacts Russia's tourism (Video)
Russians are postponing or canceling their New Year and Christmas vacations abroad as the national currency experiences a record fall.
Earlier this summer, in the wake of the economic crisis, several major tourist companies in Russia collapsed, leaving hundreds of tourists stranded abroad, Ukraine Today reports.
In hope that the crisis will one day end, today Russians prefer travelling across Russia, and are considering visiting Russian-occupied Crimea.
Meanwhile, although the largest country in the world, Russia as a tourist destination itself is seeing rapid shrinkage, with some analysts predicting 70% fewer tourists next year.
