The organizing committee Russia 2018 has a budget deficit for 2015 and intends to attract donations, the chairman of the committee, Russia’s Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth policy Vitaliy Mutko, said on Friday at the fourth meeting of the committee, according to Russian sport news agency R-Sport.

The organizing committee for Russia's 2018 World Cup says it will look for donations.

"The year will be a tense one,” Mutko said.

“The requests of the organizing committee can’t yet be met by the budget because of the situation in the country. We will try to attract some donations from private and public companies. There is a bit of a deficit.”

As reported earlier, in November, the director of the organizing committee Russia 2018 Alexei Sorokin said that the budget of the organization should be calculated in foreign currency so that it would not depend on the exchange rate.
