U.S. Embassy on current political situation in Ukraine

Recent press reports have misquoted U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, according to the information of the U.S. Embassy to Ukraine.

He has said many times that the U.S. is following developments in Ukraine closely and remains very interested in what is happening here. As we have said, we will work closely with any government emerging from Ukraine`s elections through a democratic process. We hope that any new government will press forward on important priorities, such as democratic and economic reforms that will bring Ukraine closer to the Euro-Atlantic community, and will help ensure Ukraine a democratic and prosperous future.
