Interior Ministry of Ukraine demands UN to guarantee security of the Ukrainian peacemakers in Kosovo.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko claimed this in parliament today.
He disclosed that, at a meeting with the UN Mission leadership, Ukraine demanded to carry out an official investigation into the incident, as a result of which a Ukrainian peacemaker died. “102 wounded and 1 killed cannot disappear without a trace for director of any level, even of that of the UN Mission”, Yuri Lutsenko claimed.
He also asked lawmakers to stipulate amendments to the state budget for the year 2008, with increasing the financing of Ukrainian peacemakers training.
