On behalf of “all personnel, serving in Kosovo”, Yuri Lutsenko called on the parliament of Ukraine not to adopt political decisions, “because, under current conditions, the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Kosovo will be a shame for them, for the Interior Ministry, and for Ukraine”.

The Minister stressed that Ukraine, being one of the UN founder states, is ready to fulfill its obligations.

He also asked the Verkhovna Rada to provide the policemen, serving in Kosovo, with a status of battle actions participants.

According to him, as of today, six Ukrainian peacemakers, who were wounded in Kosovo, are staying in hospital, but they have not underwent surgical treatment as yet because the hospital is overcrowded. If they are not cured today, “an Interior Ministry jet will convey them to Ukraine”.
