President met Alexander Kwasniewski

Victor Yushchenko has met with Alexander Kwasniewski, ex-President of Poland, according to the President’s press-office.

They discussed the current political situation in Ukraine. Mr. Yushchenko assured his former colleague the country`s foreign course, which was supported by the people in 2004, would not change. The President said he reiterated this belief at his meetings with Ukraine`s party leaders.

Then he spelled out his plan to settle the parliamentary crisis and promised he would spare no effort to make politicians start a political dialogue.

Poland`s Ambassador to Ukraine Jacek Kluczkovski was present at the meeting.
