President leaves on official visit to Lithuania

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko together with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko went on an official visit to the Republic of Lithuania.

According to deputy President’s Chief of Staff Oleksander Chaly, the aim of the visit is to bring Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations to a new strategic level.

O.Chaly stressed that Lithuania completely supports the Euro-Atlanitc aspirations of Ukraine and plays an important role in this sphere.

During the visit, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko is due to sign a number of bipartite agreements with Lithuania, including in energy and transport spheres.
