Kasparov: Putin wants to rule as Stalin but live as Abramovich

“Putin is rather oligarch than dictator, in other words, he wants to rule as Stalin but live as Abramovich”, Russian opposition leader Kasparov said in an interview with Spanish El Pais. Having created a visibility of a democratic leader, he, in fact, ruined the Russian state, because, in the opinion of Kasparov, Putin’s Russia is corrupted from beginning till the very end. It reminds Kasparov of a feudal power.

Incumbent President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev creates just a visibility of a liberal leader, Kasparov believes. According to him, he has many common features with Belarussian leader Alexander Lukashenka.
