Government allocates humanitarian relief to Lebanon
At about 1.065 M.UAH
The Cabinet of Ministers passed a resolution on rendering humanitarian aid of 1 million 65 thousand 340 UAH from the state budget reserve fund in view of people’s death and considerable damages as a result of military operations in Lebanon, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
According to the resolution, Ministry of Emergencies and Affairs of Population Protection from Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe in Ukraine in a week’s term has to submit list of expenditures on the humanitarian aid to the approval of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economics and ensure purchases, sending and receiving of the cargo to the destination. It will include tents, fire-hoses, fire extinguishers, blankets, food, medicine, antiseptics.
The Government believe that from the view of the catastrophe consequences in Lebanon as a result of military operations began on July 12, 2006 and leading to damages and victims, immediate effective humanitarian aid of Ukraine to the Lebanon Republic will contribute to the strengthening of traditionally friendly bilateral Ukraine-Lebanon relationship.
