Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico will visit Moscow for emergency talks on the gas crisis, the Russian government said on Tuesday, news agencies reported.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin`s office said an "urgent" visit by the Bulgarian premier had been agreed and there was an agreement on a visit by Fico, although dates for the visits were not announced, ITAR-TASS reported.

Putin had spoken to Fico by telephone, telling him: "The gas transport system of Ukraine is not carrying out its duties and is not ensuring the transit" of Russian gas to Europe.
