Putin, Fradkov to visit Ukraine

Presidential press secretary Iryna Vannykova told reporters on Friday Victor Yushchenko had recently spoken with his Russian colleague, Vladimir Putin, who is going to visit Ukraine soon, according to the President`s press-office.

Russia’s Premier Mikhail Fradkov and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will come to Ukraine on October 23 and November 7, respectively.

Mrs. Vannykova said the President was quite optimistic about the development of Ukrainian-Russian relations and would personally oversee preparations for Putin’s visit.
