And urges to form a Ukrainian-Russian Commission
Russia initiates formation of the Ukrainian-Russian Commission on studying 1932 to 1933 famine in Ukraine, NCRU reports.
This was disclosed by Deputy Chief of the Presidential Secretariat Oleksandr Chalyi.Russian recognition of the famine in Ukraine was considered at a meeting between President Viktor Yushchenko and Russian Prime Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The Russian Foreign Minister put the matter into a question as he believes the problem`s solution is disputable.
Oleksandr Chalyi noted that the President stated his surprise of Russia`s lack of understanding of a necessity of the issue and suggested to exchange ideas on strategic approaches in solution of this matter.
