He is due to meet Cheney and Rice

The Head of Ukrainian Government Viktor Yanukovych is on his working visit to the USA. During his visit Prime Minister of Ukraine intends to visit Washington and New York and hold a series of meetings with the Vice President of the United States Richard Cheney, US Secretary of State Condolezza Rice, in particular, sign a number of bilateral agreements, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers.

      Viktor Yanukovych is accompanied by the Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuriy Boyko, Minister of Economy Volodymyr Makukha, a number of people’s deputies of Ukraine, other officials.

      On Monday, December 4 Viktor Yanukovych will address the Center for Strategic and International Studies of the United States. After that he will meet the US Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman.

      In the Congress of the United States Prime Minister of Ukraine intends to meet with the Senator, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Richard Lugar. The participants of the meeting will speak to the media representative.

      The second half of the day includes Viktor Yanukovych’s meeting with the US Secretary of State Condolezza Rice. According to the results of the visit two inter-government agreements are to be signed.

      The same day Viktor Yanukovych will meet Dick Cheney.

      On Tuesday the Head of Ukrainian Government will meet the American media representatives, visit the Holocaust Museum, hold meetings with congressmen and leaders of the USA business circles. Viktor Yanukovych will visit the World Bank Office and meet with the Head of this powerful financial institution Paul Wolfowitz.

      On Wednesday in New York Vikotr Yanukovych will visit the place of tragedy of September 11, 2001 (former World Trade Center), meet with the leaders of the New York Stock Exchange and representatives of the USA business circles.

      On Thursday, December 7 Viktor Yanukovych will return to Kyiv.
