The Prime Minister noted that Ukraine ensures to preserve the quality of transported high-gravity oil while using the Odesa-Brody-Plock oil pipeline.

The Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuriy Boyko, while commenting on the visit of Ukrainian delegation chaired by the Prime Minister to Azerbaijan noted that yearly this country increases oil production by 6-7 million tons and needs additional transportation corridors to Europe. Ukraine, in its turn, proposes Azerbaijan the most expedient route of oil transportation to Europe using the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline.

According to the Minister of Fuel and Energy, an international consortium, which is to be established for oil pumping and exploitation of the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline, will be incomplete if Azerbaijan is not attracted with its reserves of oil. If consortium established the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline may start functioning directly in two years”, he said.

Speaking about the advantages from exploiting the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline for Ukraine the Minister noted that today Ukraine profits from oil transit about 300 million USD per year and additional rout of oil transportation would add to this sum at least 50 million USD per year.
