“I do not think that these shifts will anyhow influence the current climate of our relationships with Russia”, he said.

The expert noted that Russia’s position does not change regardless of concrete persons and regardless of the influence of these persons.

At the same time, V.Chaly believes that personal stances are very important. “As early as today we are attentively studying the position concerning Ukraine of First Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov, who is one of the candidates for the post of the Russian President”, he said.

It is important for Ukraine that Russia be a democratic and forecasted country, and the Ukrainian leadership will cooperate with the President, who will be elected by Russian citizens.
