Hungary supports Eurointegration aspirations of Ukraine
In the run-up of a deepened agreement on cooperation with the EU
Hungary states its support for Ukraine’s intentions to acquire the EU membership in the run-up of a deepened agreement on cooperation with the EU for the timeframe of 10 years, according to the government’s press-office.
Head of Ukraine’s Government announced that during the joint press-conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány in Budapest. “The EU membership of Ukraine should be defined in the agreement. We have come the decision that Hungary will assist in it,” as Prime Minister of Ukraine said.
Viktor Yanukovych added that Hungary will perform all necessary steps to support Ukraine in the run-up process. The Head of the Government expressed his hopes that the document is also to envisage measures to ensure energy security of Ukraine and the European Union.
