European Commission president Jose Barroso once again stresses that the future relations with Ukraine cannot be forecasted.
According to an UNIAN’s own correspondent in Brussels, he said this today after a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych, answering questions of journalists about the possibility Ukraine’s joining the EU.
“Now we cannot foresee anything in advance. But it is clear that both the sides should do much”, the European Commission president said.
He pointed out that now Ukraine and EU began to prepare a new enhanced agreement, stipulating to significantly strengthen the collaboration, along with creating a free trade zone.
At the same time, J.Barroso noted that the free trade zone may be created only upon Ukraine’s joining the World Trade Organization.
