Deputy chairman of the Russian commission for inter-parliamentary collaboration Sergey Markov believes that President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko is under pressure of radical politicians, in particular, Victor Baloha and Roman Bessmertny.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this in an interview to journalists today, during a visit of the Russian delegation to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“One can see that the President hesitates and that he is under the influence of radicals, as far as I understood, Baloha and Bessmertny”, S.Markov said.

He noted that the Russian parliament would call on the Ukrainian President not to listen to extremists and not to turn radical the situation in Ukraine. Explaining the aim of his visit to Ukraine, S.Markov argued that human rights are violated in the country, thus, the defense of human rights cannot be an internal affair of Ukraine”.
