A total of 22 people died when a privately-owned plane belonging to an oil company crashed in the Pakistani city of Karachi soon after it took off, Pakistani media said citing police, according to RIA Novosti.
The plane was carrying locals and foreigners, 19 company employees and three crew members, on board. Other reports say that 18 passengers and two crew members were on board.
The airplane was headed toward an oilfield in Sindh province.
Preliminary results of investigation show an engine failure became a cause of a crash.
