“We see that a system, worsening the situation for our producers at European markets, is being introduced. We see they open new anti-damping cases in the European Union, increase customs tariffs for our production”, Victor Yanukovych stressed.

The Prime Minister ordered the Foreign Ministry and the Economics Ministry to investigate into the situation and prepare a respective report, agreed with all the Ministries and departments, by the Ukraine-EU Summit in Kyiv, scheduled for 14 September.

“We would not like that preparing a new ten-years treaty with EU take place against the background of worsening the situation in several directions of our relations with EU”, the Prime Minister noted.

Victor Yanukovych also pointed out that Ukrainian citizens are disappointed with strengthening the visa regime for them. “In our opinion, it is rather tough, and forces our people to stand in queues under embassies. We should probe into this issue and express our point of view about the current drawbacks in the relations with EU”, the Prime Minister claimed.

The Prime Minister believes it expedient to raise all the problems at the upcoming Ukraine-EU Summit.
