EU integration is a “topical issue” for Ukraine - Yushchenko

In an interview with EuroNews on Thursday, President Victor Yushchenko talked about domestic issues and Ukraine’s European aspirations, according to the President`s press-office.

Yushchenko said EU integration was a “topical issue” and “touches every aspect of practical life of Ukraine’s average citizens.” He praised the country’s partnership with the EU and welcomed a recently signed bilateral agreement to liberalize visa rules.

The president said participants of tomorrow’s Ukraine-EU summit would discuss a new agreement on enhanced cooperation and expressed hopes this document, as well as Ukraine’s WTO accession, would help start free trade talks, which
