Yushchenko congratulated Basescu on his birthday

President Victor Yushchenko has extended his best birthday wishes to Romanian President Traian Basescu, who was born on 4 November 1951 in the town of Basarabi, according to the President`s press-office.

Yushchenko wished the people of Romania prosperity and his counterpart health and success. He thanked the Romanian leader for his efforts aimed at developing Ukraine’s ties with Romania and said he expected Basescu to visit Ukraine in 2008 to co-chair the second session of the Ukrainian-Romanian Presidential Commission.
