President calls for dialogue in Georgia
Yushchenko said only Georgians could decide how to settle the situation
President Victor Yushchenko told a press conference in Poltava on Thursday a constructive dialogue involving all parties was the key to defusing Georgia’s political crisis, according to the President`s press-office.
“I call on Georgia’s authorities to start a public and open dialogue, hold this dialogue with respect for the constitution and the people and make balanced decisions,” he said. “I am convinced the sole way [to resolve the crisis] is to act in an exclusively democratic manner.”
Yushchenko said only Georgians could decide how to settle the situation.
