The OU – PSD Bloc’s member Ivan Zayets thinks that Russia has to pay Ukraine compensation for liquidation of consequences of Russian vessels’ wrecks in Kerchenska strait, Crimea. He said in his comment to Razom website.
“Only the government of collaborators, the government that doesn’t defend national interests, can make statements that the issue of paying the compensation is ill-timed”, - he is sure.
Mr. Zayets explained that there are general norms of international law which provide that owners of a vessel bear responsibility both for consequences and losses right from the moment of the incident that led to further consequence”, - he emphasized.
Ukrainian government has to arouse the question on compensation of the damage made and demand its payment from Russia”, - Mr. Zayets accented.
