The government is studying the gas agreements with the Russian Federation, and only after that and after some consultations, they will “come to a new level of negotiations”.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Top Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksander Turchynov claimed this to journalists in Kyiv today, answering the question whether they expect any changes of the conditions of gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine in 2008.
“We are analyzing the signed documents, analyzing the situation, including that at the energy market. And I think, only after that analysis and preliminary consultations, we will be able to come to a new format of talks and decisions”, O.Turchynov.
He also stressed that the stance of the Ukrainian government is that transparent schemes in the relations with other countries must be created. “We have to get rid of intermediaries, and to wipe out any shadow corridor forms of solving problems”, he said.
