Ukraine hopes to kick off talks for creating a free trade zone with the European Union in the nearest future.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claimed this, speaking at the WTO General Council in Geneva on Tuesday.

According to him, Ukraine regards this as an important stage in the process of developing a free movement of commodities, capital, and workforce.
“I’m confident that a free access to the biggest world markets will give a new and powerful impetus for the small and middle business in the country”, the President said.
He also stressed that Ukraine speaks for basing all commercial relations between the world countries on the principles of equal partnership and openness.
