Putin says Russia would target Ukraine if threatened

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that Moscow would target its missiles at western neighbour Ukraine if it threatened Russia`s national security, according to Thompson Financial.
At his annual Kremlin press conference, Putin was asked how Russia would respond if Ukraine joined a US-sponsored missile defence shield.
The Russian president said Russia `would be forced to aim missiles at those objects which we feel threaten our national security.`
