The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 11.6 million patients as of the morning of July 7.

As many as 11,626,265 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 09:33 on July 7, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 538,172 people, while 6,304,328 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (130,306 people), Brazil (65,487), the United Kingdom (44,321), Italy (34,869), Mexico (31,119), and France (29,923).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (2,938,624 confirmed cases), Brazil (1,623,284), India (719,664), Russia (686,852), Peru (305,703), Chile (298,557), the United Kingdom (287,290), Mexico (261,750), Spain (251,789), Iran (243,051), Italy (241,819), and Pakistan (234,509).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
