Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 62 in the past day.

"In the past day, another 62 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus. There were 10 healthcare workers among them," he said on Telegram on June 3.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 3,133.

According to Klitschko, 38 women aged 24 to 94 and 16 men aged 30 to 83 are among those infected. In addition, three girls (aged 5, 7 and 16) and five boys under the age of 14 tested positive for the coronavirus.

Klitschko said 13 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest were self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors.

The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Solomyansky district (10), Desniansky district (nine), as well as Dniprovsky and Shevchenkivsky districts (eight each).

Thirty-eight people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.

In total, 756 Kyiv residents have already recovered.

As UNIAN reported earlier, as of 09:00 Kyiv time on June 3, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ukraine was 24,823; of them, 483 cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
