Toronto has officially unveiled its Holodomor Memorial in a moving ceremony held Sunday, October 21.

"In a moving ceremony, today Toronto officially unveiled its Holodomor Memorial. Mr. Mykola Lathysko, himself a Holodomor survivor who emigrated to Canada, recounted his experience and told the crowd: 'as Christians, we should be able to forgive but we should never forget,'" Director of Cooperation (Counsellor) at the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, Karim Morcos, wrote on Twitter.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in Austin, the capital of Texas, the city mayor proclaimed November 10 this year as Holodomor Remembrance Day.
