Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development has congratulated the people of Ukraine on holding parliamentary elections.
"Congratulations to the people of Ukraine on holding parliamentary elections today. Canada is proud to support free and fair elections in Ukraine, and we will continue to support the people of Ukraine as they build a secure, prosperous and democratic future," the department wrote on Twitter on July 22, 2019.
As UNIAN reported earlier, as Ukraine's Central Election Commission had processed 35.51% of the ballots in the parliamentary elections by Monday morning, the Servant of the People Party gained 42.19% of the vote with 121 places on the party lists and 106 in majoritarian districts, which is 227 seats in total.
