Trump: Pompeo has permission from Ukraine to release transcript of call with Zelensky
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has received permission from the Ukrainian government to release of the transcript of the July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Secretary of State Pompeo received permission from Ukraine Government to release the transcript of the telephone call I had with their President," U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted on September 25.
"They don't know either what the big deal is. A total Witch Hunt Scam by the Democrats!" he added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Trump authorized the release of the "complete, fully declassified" transcript of his phone call with Zelensky.
The call is at the center of an escalating battle over a whistleblower's complaint reportedly concerning the U.S. leader's dealings with Ukraine that the administration refused to give Congress.
Zelensky's press service said on July 25 that during the telephone conversation, Trump expressed his conviction that the new Ukrainian government would be able to quickly improve Ukraine's image and complete an investigation into corruption cases that had hindered interaction between Ukraine and the United States.
