"The National Security and Defense Council met on May 6, 2015, to pass Ukraine's national security strategy, [which is] a strategic document for defense planning," the press service said.

The strategy is designed until 2020. It outlines priorities of the national security policy, reforms foreseen in the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, and the 'Ukraine 2020' Strategy for Sustainable Development.

Ukraine's national security strategy is focused on the creation of a new system of national security and defense, able to safeguard Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity against the entire range of possible threats, namely acts of war.
