Kristina Kvien appointed U.S. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Ukraine

Deputy Chief of U.S. Mission in Ukraine Kristina Kvien has been appointed U.S. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Ukraine.

"Kristina Kvien, our Deputy Chief of Mission, is now serving as the Charge d'Affaires, a.i. of U.S. Embassy Kyiv. Hear her thoughts on the strong #USUkrainePartnership!" the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv wrote on Twitter on January 2, posting her video message.

As UNIAN reported earlier, William B. Taylor Jr., the top American diplomat in Ukraine, stepped down from his post in late December.
