Turchynov: Russia trying to stall MH17 investigation
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov says that Russia is trying to stall the investigation of the crash of MH17 flight, which was downed by Russian-backed militants in Donbas last July.
"I am convinced this should end at an international court for the Russian Federation, which in fact organized the elimination of innocent civilians who were onboard that Boeing. And it's not a secret for the whole world. Yet, I am sure, Russia is doing its utmost to stall the investigation," Turchynov told Channel 5 on Thursday.
NSDC Secretary said that these are "the clumsy theories announced by the Russian leaders that aim to hinder the process, to make [investigators] check these clumsy theories, numerous witnesses they suggest… But anyway this won't let Russia avoid accountability for the death of the people."
