Defense Ministry to establish military register by end of 2015

"The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on a single state register of individuals liable for military service, prepared by the defense department. Completing such a register  will allow the Ministry of Defense to effectively prevent attempts of citizens to evade military service," she said.

According to Havryliuk, data from the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, as well as from the lists of voters will be used to fill the database.

"In the near future, the bill will be sent to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and we are already planning to complete the establishment of such a register by the end of 2015," she said.
