Ukraine, Europe agree on joint, systematic anti-Russian propaganda

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has agreed on joint and systematic anti-Russian propaganda during his recent working visit to Brussels, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

"One of Poroshenko's agreements in Brussels – Ukraine and the EU will jointly and systematically work to counter Russian propaganda," Klimkin tweeted.

"Two signals from the EU: full support of the [Ukrainian] constitutional reform and firmness in safeguarding values and unity. [I] see no chances that the Russian Federation will break the unbreakable unity," he added.

As UNIAN reported earleir, the EU said it aimed to counter Russian propaganda by boosting support for independent media in "Eastern Neighborhood" countries and increasing awareness of "disinformation activities by external actors," according to a strategic communications action plan.
