Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said former President Leonid Kravchuk may replace Leonid Kuchma as Ukraine's representative to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) at the Minsk talks on Donbas.

The president told journalists several candidates were being considered for this position, including Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 28, Kuchma concluded his mission as Ukraine's representative to the TCG at the Minsk talks on Donbas. The reason for Kuchma's decision to leave the TCG was his advanced age.
